While any database access is a strain on a database server, such servers are tuned to withstand reasonable usage. Omega Sync is highly optimized in comparison stage and doesn't consume much precious RAM. It has been tested on huge databases.

Synchronization stage is more demanding for server as we are writing (updating, inserting, deleting), but as Omega Sync is typically scheduled to run daily, number of differences is typically very low compared to number of records, so the server strain is negligible.
